Hunt: Showdown Comes to PS4

Crytek announces Hunt: Showdown release date for PlayStation 4 version, featuring cross-play with Xbox One.

Starting from February 2018, developer/publisher Crytek has worked their way through Early Access phase of survival horror first-person shooter game Hunt: Showdown to its full release on PC via Steam and Xbox One platform.

Last year, Crytek revealed plans to launch a PlayStation 4 version of their poplar multiplayer shooter by fall 2019 but that got delayed unfortunately and recently, they announced an official release date set for February 18, 2020.

Partnering up with Koch Media for retail and digital release of console versions worldwide has allowed developers to focus on regular updates and on launch day, players on PS4 will have support for cross-play with Xbox version.

By next year, more content update will eventually roll out on all platforms including new events, Legendary Hunters and weapons. Physical Edition of Hunt for Xbox One consoles will arrive on same day of its PS4 release next month.

Crytek has previous experience of working on popular FPS genre franchises like Crysis and Far Cry. They have mixed up elements from both PvP and PvE game types for their latest endeavor for a unique bounty hunting shooter IP.

Hunt: Showdown is a competitive shooter title that allows 12-players to go solo or team-up in hunting down ghoulish monsters. Track them down and execute them for handsome rewards but be aware of being double-crossed any time.
