In 1983, CIA backed program Requiem leader Grigori Weaver gets a call from his trusty contact "Sam", who calls him to make sure if he received a package and tells him to watch the tape she sent but a reluctant Weaver is uninterested.

He watches an old war footage she acquired from a KGB insider where a group has managed to find Projekt Endstation in a secret bunker from WWII and they were ambushed by hordes of undead soldiers, tearing them all into pieces.

Requiem response team from original Black Ops sends its members to investigate in Poland, where they come across Cold War-era zombie army and Omega Group, a Soviet-led faction that is also interested in its supernatural power.

Exploring these sites of incidents throughout the globe, Requiem and Omega Group will cross paths to either aid or thwart your objective. Players will eventually discover many puzzle pieces that will help them connect to Zombies lore.

Events that took place at Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 ending have lead Zombies narrative to a new level for Black Ops Cold War. Fans are no longer forced to play with four characters and instead, they can play as campaign mode operators.

Familiar faces from single-player story like Sgt. Frank Woods, Lawrence Sims and Russell Adler will join to fight against zombies of Cold War. Activision and Treyarch are most probably holding a few more surprises to reveal after launch.
