Alan Wake Remastered Announced

Earlier this week, rumors of Alan Wake Remastered release have surfaced online following an accidental listing leak at Taiwanese retailer Rakuten Taiwan, lining up to a previous database leak on Epic Games Store back in June 2021.

Days after that leak, series creator Sam Lake officially confirms Alan Wake Remastered in a fan-website for Alan Wake, The Sudden Stop. Remastered version will feature base game and two DLC episodes "The Signal" and "The Writer".

An acclaimed supernatural thriller game, Alan Wake originally debuted as an exclusive for Xbox 360 consoles in 2010. For very first time, Alan Wake series will be arriving on PlayStation family of console systems other than PC and Xbox.

Alan Wake series developer Remedy Entertainment has teamed up with Epic Games Publishing for its multiplatform re-release. AW Remastered will be a timed exclusive for Epic Games Store similar to other Remedy games like Control.

Remedy signed a publishing agreement with Epic Games for their next two unannounced games in March 2020. Referring to an early investor report, VentureBeat journalist Jeff Grubb suggests one of these games is probably Alan Wake 2.

Alan Wake Remastered is set to release on fall 2021 for PC via Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. Remedy may end up announcing a release date at upcoming PlayStation Showcase 2021 event.
