Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Reportedly Delayed to 2023

Despite some rumors of upcoming action role-playing game Gotham Knights and Hogwarts Legacy being delayed to next year, a social media post by Warner Media executive suggests that they are currently on track for 2022 release.

Even though originally scheduled for 2022 launch, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League was never mentioned for some reason. However, a latest report claims Warner Bros. is probably delaying Suicide Squad game for a 2023 window.

Warner Bros. has reportedly moved Suicide Squad: KTJL until at least next year, according to Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier. Although there is no official announcement by WB just yet, he claims to known this from insider source.

Suicide Squad was revealed at DC FanDome 2020 event alongside Gotham Knights, featuring villainous DC Comics characters Captain Boomerang, Deadshot, Harley Quinn and King Shark trying to take down the heroes of Justice League.

Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier shared his article on Warner Bros. delaying Suicide Squad game on Twitter.

Schreier didn't disclose any reason for delay but fans speculate that WB is likely doing this to avoid competition with Gotham Knights, which has been lately reaffirmed by Warner Media CEO Jason Kilar for 2022 release in a post earlier.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League developer Rocksteady Studios released their last major title Batman: Arkham Knight in 2015. Warner Bros. Games had to delay a slate of major titles this year, due to worldwide COVID-19 pandemic.
