Hades Coming to PlayStation and Xbox Consoles

After spending two years in Early Access program of Epic Games Store since 2018, roguelike action dungeon crawler game Hades by developer/publisher Supergiant Games saw full release on Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam in 2020.

A leaked listing on Korean Game Rating official website hinted at a console version last month, which has been officially confirmed by Supergiant Games today and Hades is coming to last and current generation consoles on August 13, 2021.

Supergiant Games announces to release Hades, multi award-winning RPG for cross-generation of consoles.

Hades is expected to arrive for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X, priced only at $29.99 for retail version. If you prefer to purchase a digital copy, it would cost you a few bucks less than physical editions in storefronts.

Take-Two Interactive was originally listed as a publisher for console version and Supergiant has signed a partnership deal with their subsidiary label Private Division for releasing Hades physical edition for PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Series X/S.

Both physical and digital edition offers a free upgrade to next-gen digital version for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Retail boxes are to include a complimentary download code for original soundtracks and a 32-page compendium book.

Xbox Game Pass members can also enjoy playing Hades on PC and Xbox consoles at launch day for no extra cost. Hades will run at 60 frames per second in 1080p resolution for PS4 and Xbox One, while aiming at 60FPS in 4K for next-gen.

Heavily inspired by Greek mythology, Hades lets you play as Zagreus, prince of Underworld and fight his way through Hell. He can find weapons and receive buffs from Olympian gods but if he dies, everything is reset back to where he started.

Hades was nominated by over 50 outlets for "Game of the Year" accolade last year and ended up winning at BAFTA, DICE, SXSW and more. To secure a physical copy in time, place your pre-orders now at Amazon, Best Buy or GameStop.
