Destiny 2: Warmind DLC Announced

Developer Bungie have teased on what they are planning next for Destiny 2 and gave a release date for the game’s new expansion Warmind.

If you have recently came across any of those articles online that asks "Is Destiny 2 Dead?" and got worried, then we will advise you to chill for a while now. Bungie and Activision has no plan of giving up on their impressively successful multiplayer first-person shooter Destiny 2 just yet. In-fact, they have a complete roadmap up ahead till season four to follow. Today, they have announced that D2's second expansion will be titled "Warmind" and it will be available from May 8, 2018.

More details on Warmind expansion will be revealed on April 24, via an official live stream on Twitch but for now, the developers have gave us just a single teaser image to have an idea of how it would look like. Speculation suggests that expansion two has something to do with Destiny’s mystical artificial intelligence from its core plot. Back in 2017, there was a leak from PlayStation store that revealed that "Gods of Mars" was the previously decided title for this upcoming DLC.

Most probably, a fair amount of Destiny 2 players have already purchased Warmind when they bought the collector’s edition last year. Those who still haven't are now to decide that whether or not they would like to stick around for some more action in Destiny universe considering all the negativity spread around the community about the game's future. Without being completely oblivious to fan's response, Bungie did many minor and major tweaks over the last six months.

Bungie is also planning to bring some change to Crucible content in their competitive multiplayer mode and probably for their future expansions. Possibly, they are going to make a move where competitive multiplayer maps will not be restricted to those who paid for new expansions anymore. They already faced quite a lot of heat regarding how they handled add-on content with Curse of Osiris DLC and these changes to Crucible and expansion are probably because of that.

RELATED: Destiny 2 Warlock Glitch Will Fix After "The Dawning"

Warmind expansion will also kick-start season three of the game on the same day, where you will meet new heroes, explore uncharted places and fight new enemies. With all that, new activities will be there to master and new loots to claim are also part of the adventure. Plus, there are private matches, seasonal Crucible rankings, increase in vault space, Nightfall challenge cards and emotes planned till summer as part of update 1.2.0.

Then, Bungie will bring back the daily bounty system this summer in response to a fan outcry for long time. There will be a new seasonal event as pointed out in their development roadmap, clan chat on PC, Exotic Armor sandbox changes, improvements to Faction Rallies and a few more until season 4 starts in September, which is five months away. So in overall, Warmind expansion pack is looking pretty exciting and we will probably learn more about it when a trailer drops for it later this month.

Lastly, we would like to readdress the issue we mentioned at the start that, many MMOs these days faces a lot of controversies in their first year but that doesn't make them dead or forgotten. It still hasn't reached the phase where the game developers are forced to shut it down and fix it. So what that people not talking about it on every other social media these days or criticizing some of their strategies? Of course the hype is not like it was at start but we have a whole new year ahead of us to determine a make-or-break point for the game yet.

Destiny 2 is one of the best-selling titles of 2017 from developer Bungie and publisher Activision to play on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Although, Bungie didn't say anything about its price, we believe it is safe to assume that it will likely to cost somewhat like $19.99 since that was the price for Curse of Osiris DLC expansion pack. To really keep players hooked up to the title, Warmind DLC will have to be rather impressive or else, it will be hard to keep people interested till season 4.

Destiny 2 "Go Fast" Update Details

Developer Bungie had a great start in 2017 with their multiplayer first-person shooter Destiny 2 but with time, the increased popularity of the game started to fade slowly. So, they tried to keep the vibe alive by constant update patches, seasonal events and DLC releases to keep players from running off. Most recently, their “Go Fast” patch have worked on a lot of fan complaints and we believe those will make the fans happy now.

Also, check out the developer commentary clip below to know what "Go Fast" update from Bungie holds in store for you and how it will change the game.

Update 1.1.4 for Destiny 2 has already gone live for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One with loads of changes that are mentioned in official Patch Notes. Bungie clearly wanted the players to feel more empowered with these brand-new adjustments they have made and we are discussing a major few of them here.

RELATED: Destiny 2 Crimson Days Event Announced

Crucible Improvements
Crucible in Destiny 2 has been subjected to a lot of criticism for the last few months for being too slow and a bit too much team based. Bungie has noted all the fan pleading from the community and worked it up by making Iron Banner 6v6 again just like the standard from original Destiny. Also, it will keep rotating weekly alongside Mayhem and Rumble playlists. Score limit for Iron Banner is 125 points and you can respawn within 7 seconds in this 12 minutes play.

RELATED: Destiny 2 XP Scaling System Removed

A player with Power ammo will lose all of it if they die and half of what they had will drop for someone else to pick up for 30 seconds. During Control, Clash and Supremacy matches, they will spawn rather fast than 90 seconds to one third of that time. Yes, in freaking 90 seconds if you ask. So, they drop more frequently than they used to before. Rarely will you see a map repeated often and Quickplay matches are now extended to 10 minutes.

Dawnblade Warlock Changes
Tweaks and adjustments are there to bring balance to certain features of gameplay and patch 1.1.4 is all about that. Major balance changes came as Bungie has reversed The Titan dash ability back to how it was for players to cover more ground. Dawnblade Warlock subclass took the real cake on this one. All of the Warlocks got increased speed for glide ability and Dawnblade’s Daybreak super is buffed to be more effective. If you can pull out in right way, you're about to showcase some super-fast slick moves.

RELATED: Bungie on Destiny 2 PC Bans

Not only the Daybreak super duration is extended but Dawnblade is now allowed to throw more sword projectiles since the cost of throwing is decreased in update 1.1.4. Now the Icarus Dash will take only 6 seconds rather than the previous 10 seconds for cooldown. All players are about to enjoy casting more Super for the overall speed boost to all classes. Sounds like Bungie is doing justice to the name "Go Fast".

Repetition Reduction
Destiny 2 has been facing problem with repetition of strike playlists from the very beginning and it is really annoying. Suppose you are matching up for Quickplay but back-to-back Exotics from Exotic Engrams are getting on your nerves by showing you same strikes repeatedly. Now a repeat map protection is placed in patch 1.1.4 to make sure it doesn't happen to you during Quickplay, Competitive or even Iron Banner. Also, the same Crucible map will never come to you twice in a row.

Strike-Specific Reward
One other thing that Destiny 2 community has been begging to Bungie is that to put strike-specific loot for the game. These unique rewards can only be achieved in weekly Nightfall only though. For completing certain missions at Nightfall, you can get your hands on some Legendary weapons and Exotic accessories. For example, the new Silicon Neuroma sniper rifle can be yours if you are lucky enough on this week's Nightfall. Only downside we see for this aspect is their scarce drop rate but those odds can be evened by improving your Nightfall score.

Weapon Damage Increased
As part of weapon balance tweaks of update 1.1.4, almost each of the weapons got buffs in some way. The list is so broadly detailed that we can only mention a few of them here. Inflicting damage for Linear Fusion Rifles are increased by 50%, Shotguns by 35%, Sniper Rifles by 20%, Pulse Rifles by 16%, Hand Cannons, Scout Rifles and Sidearms by 15% and Submachine Guns by 10% including some variable details. You will be happy to know that blast radius of Grenade Launchers are also increased for more impact.

RELATED: Destiny 2 McFarlane Figures First Look

Auto Rifles however, gets decreased range and aim assist on for all precision for some reason but they are still powerful as they were before. Hope you do remember that there was an issue earlier in Mayhem mode where you were allowed to throw unlimited Nova Bombs with Voidwalker subclass Warlocks. Well, that issue is fixed in this patch and you cannot do that anymore. Instead of previously set of 30%, Grave Robber will now reload half of the magazine.

RELATED: Destiny 2 Warlock Glitch Will Fix After "The Dawning"

As far as we can tell, Bungie has reworked each Guardian class even if the change is the slightest. From relieving players from repetitive strikes and increased weapon buffs, they did quite well. Hopefully, "Go Fast" update will be finally able to bring the players back to the game once again. Bungie and Activision still has a long road ahead with Destiny 2 as it is only the first quarter of 2018 and there are a lot in their planned year road-map.

Destiny 2 Nightfall Strike and Prestige Raid Will Change

Activision and Bungie presents multiplayer first-person shooter Destiny 2 has been doing pretty well since the release. The developers have made some significant changes to a part of Destiny and Destiny 2, the weekly Nightfall strikes. Since Nightfall strikes are considered one of the hardest in the game and has been receiving a lot of opinions lately, Bungie decides to shake things up a little alongside the difficulties of Prestige raids in upcoming updates.

destiny 2 nightfall strike prestige raid overhaul

In original Destiny, there was no timer in Nightfall and players could just wander around the whole time of the game to avoid enemies but when the sequel have introduced this new feature, that is no longer possible. Addressing this issue that raised a few controversies, Bungie decided to bring some change to it so that the glory it had back in the days are restored once again.

Destiny 2 Nightfall Strike Scoring

RELATED: Destiny 2 Crimson Days Event Announced

According to game director Christopher Barrett, when version 1.1.3 update for Destiny 2 will launch on February 27, players will see where the game is going from there. Strike scoring system of the game will also be changed a bit, so that you actually want to go looking for a kill instead of ditching them all the time. Like it or not, that's really good for your gaming spirit.

Destiny 2 Nightfall Challenge Card

When the update will go live, it will work somewhat like this:

  • The overall score of your group will include the solo scores of your team members, which will also show up in strike leaderboards. The performance of every single members of the team will be summed up to the score.

  • Only kills are what matters most to the score after the update. How often do you use your super abilities and generate Orbs of Light also counts though.

  • Playing it quicker will be rewarding for your score but if you take too much time, you only better your chances of lowering your score. For instance, if you already have spent 15 minutes into the game, you will only receive half the points. 18 minutes and you won't earn any more new points. So, finish the strike as early as possible.

  • It would be really painful to see your score diminished over time but considering everything else the same, if another team in the strike clears before you then they get higher score than yours.

Following the version 1.1.3 update, you will be able to earn Challenge Cards right after you complete a Nightfall game, which will only be applicable for the Prestige version of the strike. Players can now tune in their preferred difficulty settings using new modifiers (Arc/Solar Singe/Void) tied to these cards. These unique modifiers will either boost damage or help you score high despite your less damage rate.

Destiny 2 Inverted Spire Emblem

RELATED: Destiny 2 Warlock Glitch Will Fix After "The Dawning"

Bungie will introduce a special emblem to Nightfall strike for Destiny 2, which will generate an aura over the head of your Guardian on the display only if you can go beyond a certain score. Crossing that specific mark will not just raise Vanguard token drops by 25 percent but your entire fireteam will receive buff as well as you. However, before bringing all these changes to the update, the developer team wants to get more feedback on their current idea from players.

The Inverted Spire Emblem

The Prestige mode for Eater of Worlds has been pushed to May and there is a five-month long lag with the Leviathan, which almost everyone is complaining about right now. The developers simply didn't want to release it as it currently is and they just wanted to add some flavors of their own to make it worth your time. Because, for the past couple of months, Bungie was working on it by testing out new ways to add difficulties and try to increase the replaying value of the raid.

Destiny 2 Nightfall Modifier

Prestige Raids will also present different challenges to you every week and the challenges will vary each time. For example, you can be forced to undergo an entire raid with a specific gun for your guardian against deadly enemies. The objective of new Prestige mode here is to keep the players engaged by switching new weapons to your vault and more rewards to earn. This update isn't going to drop until May for all Leviathan raid though.

Released to play on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Destiny 2 became an instant hit and also was one of the most successful titles of 2017. Despite that, many in-game issues have been drawing players out of the game and Bungie is taking these new initiatives to attract back the gamers back in the fold to make it great again.

Destiny 2 Crimson Days Event Announced

Back in the time of online-based multiplayer first-person shooter Destiny, developer Bungie used to have Valentine’s Day-themed seasonal event Crimson Days. Now that Destiny 2 is the newest installment in the series that is immensely successful on all platforms and Valentine’s Day is coming next week, they are bringing the event back once again for this very special occasion to celebrate with the fans and let them have some fun too.

Destiny 2 Crimson Days Event Announced

Right before the big-day love, on February 13, Crimson Days event will be going live for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Much like the previous instance, it will be a competitive multiplayer mode for 2v2 matches on a Crucible map called The Burnout, previously known as the Burning Shrine. In these round-based Clash mode game, you should try to keep up with your teammate for quick recharge of your abilities.

RELATED: Destiny 2 Warlock Glitch Will Fix After "The Dawning"

Another reason to not get too far from your partner is that you will lose buff and your awaiting enemy will easily find you using a waypoint. Even if you get detached from your colleague for a while, there is a marker to guide you back again. This can be proven very handy when you are teaming-up with some random person for the lack of a partner in Destiny 2. The game has an efficient matchmaking system so that if you join the match solo, you can still find someone to partner up.

RELATED: Call of Duty: WWII and Destiny 2 Becomes Best-Selling on 2017

One of the primary perks of 2018's Crimson Days event is the chance of getting handful of cosmetic items. According to Bungie, completing the Crimson Days Crucible playlist firsthand will be the best way to earn rewards and the rewarding system is centered on single-character play. Most of the time, you will find rewards in a new Crimson Engram and there is a “knock-out” list to make sure that you don't end up having duplicate items like during The Dawning.

RELATED: Destiny 2 XP Scaling System Removed

Aside from all these regular prizes, Bungie claims to have other special rewards that can only be achieved through certain means.

  • To get the Fire of the Crimson Days Emblem and the Tirastrella Ghost Shell, you have to finish five Crimson Days matches for completing “Welcome to Crimson Days” highlight and you have to pay Lord Shaxx a visit in the Tower.

  • The Undeterred Exotic Sparrow gun can be yours upon completion of Crimson Days Crucible playlist.

  • By completing Leviathan Raid or the Raid Lair: Eater of Worlds you can achieve the sick-looking Dieselpunk Exotic Ornament for Wardcliff Coil straight outta final chest.

  • Earn the Flaunting Dance Emote by finishing Nightfall Strike within the Crimson Days event week.

Regardless of your actions on Crimson Days, you and your partner will get an Illuminated Engram and a Crimson Engram as soon as you level up. Crimson Engrams are of course, not limited to this seasonal event of Destiny 2 and you can only achieve them from gameplay so that no one can claim for any attempt of forcing players to spend real-world money. From the in-game store Eververse, you can buy gears and items in exchange for Bright Dust, which will also be added to the “knock-out” list.

RELATED: Bungie on Destiny 2 PC Bans

Since Crimson Engrams are not limited to Crimson Days, there's no cap on how many of them you can earn. However, there is a level cap for your Guardian and if you are a non-DLC owner, then it is 20. For those who own the Curse of Osiris DLC expansion will need to reach 25 to be eligible for level-up reward Engrams.

RELATED: Destiny 2 McFarlane Figures First Look

You can also consider Bungie being this much generous with Crimson Days to compensate the players for from last year’s The Dawning event, which saw quite a backlash from the disappointed fans. So, bringing back a popular Mercury-based map from the original Destiny was not a bad idea. Debuting on February 13, Crimson Days event will run for a week to come until February 20.

Destiny 2 Warlock Glitch Will Fix After "The Dawning"

Bungie's Destiny 2 has become one of the most successful games of the year 2017 but for the past few weeks, the game has been suffering from bugs and glitches. First there was trouble with their XP scaling system, the Curse of Osiris DLC faced complaints and now, they got another problem with the Crucible. Destiny 2 players have discovered a glitch in the Crucible's Mayhem mode which will let the Voidwalker subclass Warlocks to use their super attack for an unlimited number of times.

destiny 2 warlock glitch nova bombs for days
Destiny 2 Warlock Glitch Will Fix After "The Dawning"

Normally there is a certain period for cooldowns once you use your super attack, class abilities or grenades during play. This time phase however is significantly lessened while you are playing the Mayhem mode. So, the spawning of Super meters of your opponents is relatively faster than usual, making it harder for you to take them out. Obviously, the out of control in-game experience then becomes what the name of the mode suggests in the first place.

RELATED: Destiny 2 XP Scaling System Removed

While this limited time cooldowns were already too much to handle for some players, the glitch allows the Warlocks to use their Voidwalker subclass to use infinite amount of super and bombs. In Chaos Accelerant perk, you can overcharge your grenades and it lets the Warlocks make their bombs more damaging. After this was discovered, there has been a barrage of Nova Bombs to exploit the situation. As the issue was Bungie's responsibility to fix, they aren't banning anyone who is about to take advantage of the situation here.

Currently, there is a Destiny 2's seasonal event, The Dawning in progress where the Mayhem mode is letting this glitch to cause all sorts of chaos at the hands of the Warlocks. Developer Bungie has weighed in on this issue and announced that the bug is staying until The Dawning ends. Since the event will be ongoing up until Tuesday, January 9, we are not having that glitch fixed before 2018. Now, the developers are in a tight corner. As if they cancelled out the Mayhem mode for The Dawning, it will enrage the players and leaving the glitch as it is will do no good either.

Destiny 2 players are fed up on the developer studio for quite some times recently because of recent bug-ridden weeks, especially with the ones that are not being fixed even after their constant complaints. Bungie thought, with the release of the new Curse of Osiris DLC and two main patches, Destiny 2 will get back in the game but looks like they are not having any luck with that yet. Both Destiny 2 and Curse of Osiris DLC is currently available to play on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One worldwide.

Call of Duty: WWII and Destiny 2 Becomes Best-Selling on 2017

As 2017 is nearing to the end, many console gamers are probably wondering how well their favorite games did on the market. Because, not all game that were released over the year didn't do very well as they were expected to and then there are titles that did exceptionally well. Recently, publisher Activision has revealed one such news regarding two of their most successful titles of the year over consoles; Call of Duty: WWII and Destiny 2.

Call of Duty: WWII single handedly brought $1 billion from worldwide release in November, which is pretty outstanding considering the last installment from Call of Duty series titled Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare failed to reach out expectations set by everyone on so many levels. Plus, Infinite Warfare is deemed as commercial failure and with the booming success of WWII, seems like Activision is getting back in the gear once again and the future of the series is safe for now.

They acknowledged that not only Call of Duty: WWII has earned them some big bucks, it also is the record-breaking bestselling console game for the company now. Call of Duty has always been a successful gaming franchise for the past nine years and with the impressive dominance of the recent entry of WWII, the series proved the power of its very own fan base once more. At the 2017 Game Awards, WWII was picked up as the contender for best multiplayer game.

The other game from the same banner this year, Destiny 2 is also doing very well ever since it came out. The game managed to satisfy the eager crowd who was anticipating for its release. According to Activision, it became one of the biggest PC launch upon making debut on Blizzard’s Battle.net. Though Call of Duty: WWII and Destiny 2 are developed by Sledgehammer Games and Bungie respectively, they both came out in market from the big banner of Activision, which actually proved pretty positive for the games in overall.

The publisher set another history on PlayStation 4 of being the #1 remastered collection with the release of The Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy. Throughout the year other games like Horizon Zero Dawn, Super Mario Odyssey and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was also quite popular among gamers.

Destiny 2 Free Trial

Not any game is without its flaws and issues. First-person online multiplayer shooter Destiny 2 is not above them. Despite those, you can easily rank Destiny 2 as one of the best games of 2017. For that Bungie and Activision surely deserves some credit whether you admit it or not. Now, if you still haven't played the game, how'd you suppose to know how great the game is, right? Don't worry about that. We got something for you here.

Starting from November 28, Bungie is releasing a "Free Trail" for the game, so that you can try out and decide if you are willing to pay cold-hard cash for the goods. It's pretty exciting seeing the game is available for a free trial only mere months after its release and we surely aren't complaining.

In this trial, players are about to get access to play campaign missions on two of destinations; the European Dead Zone on Earth and the moon Titan. Crucible competitive multiplayer will also be open to explore but it will be limited to quickplay playlists only. You can join clans to earn more XP and also go solo if that is what you want. You are allowed to make character progression up to Level 7 out of 20. The great part about the trial is that it is available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

RELATED: Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris DLC Announced

Just like every other free trial offer there is a discount offer and you get to transfer your progress to the full game if you decide to purchase the game in the end. Now, you should be very interested to purchase Destiny 2 during the free trial offer as it is giving you the best ever low-price deal of them all, which is just $26 regardless of your platform. Not even Black Friday or Cyber Monday offers of the year cannot beat that as the lowest rate that was offered for the game was $27.

RELATED: Destiny 2 McFarlane Figures First Look

You should keep in mind that the offer of discount deal following the free trial is only applicable for the actual game and not for special editions, or any other expansion pass. However, the offer from Bungie will be a big discount deal for PC version as the game will cost $39 on Battle.net.

There was an event to livestream for the upcoming DLC "Curse of Osiris", scheduled to be released on December 5 but was later cancelled. Recently, a discovery of an unexplained XP scaling system was made by a player and when brought to light, Bungie has totally removed it from the game but then changed it back and now players need more XP to level up. Many have been speculating this as a ploy to make people purchases Bright Engrams in-game with real money while the official announcement over this still waits.

Destiny 2 XP Scaling System Removed

Have you been feeling like that you are not gaining as much XP as you should earn while playing Destiny 2? We feel you there, because you are not the only one facing this problem. A lot of players taking part in the Public Events are among the crowd that felt the same dilemma with gaining XP. Thankfully, the developer team behind this awesome multiplayer first-person shooter has also admitted that they have noticed it recently after pointing it out.

Bungie also released an "Official Statement" on their site regarding the issue.

Seeing people's discomfort over the matter, Bungie has decided to shut down the previous system and now, players will see their XP earning rate as the game progresses all the time on the user interface. This way, they will know how much XP they are gaining against their activities on the go and it will be easy to decide if the procedure was up to mark. As soon as there will be any change or updates will be released, it will be officially announced.

RELATED: Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris DLC Announced

While this is more like a minor change, many are making a big deal out of it. You may ask, why is that? Here is why. Well, according to many, it might also turn out to be a ploy by the devs to make people some spend real cash in-game to make purchase for those Bright Engrams, which you can no longer earn fast by playing. Plus, most of us haven't still forgotten the huge controversy regarding loot boxes and micro-transaction system in Star Wars Battlefront II.

Moreover, it wasn't something that everyone has easily noticed from the launch of Destiny 2. It took the keen-eyed observation of a dedicated Redditor to point out the issue and Bungie haven't take any steps deal with it from the very beginning until it was discovered by players. Doesn't that sound fishy to you since they are the ones who created the game and put it there in the first place?

Bungie on Destiny 2 PC Bans

Bungie's heavily expected online-only multiplayer first-person shooter Destiny 2 has launched on PC this October 24 and fans were pretty hyped about it. The game eventually released on that day to everyone's delight and what the internet saw the next day is many players are complaining that many of them has been banned from the game for apparent no good reason.

Some of them even came to speculate that the ban might be a result of them using many third party softwares like Discord and Open Broadcaster Software.

destiny 2 pc ban
Bungie Explains Destiny 2 PC Bans

The developer team at Bungie decided to shade some light on it and they did so by releasing a Blog Post on their official website. Addressing the ban issue, they claimed that so far, Bungie has banned over 400 players and it was not because of using any third party softwares. At this point, the ban might seem quite unjust and irrational to the players who were a victim of this.

So, being the developer responsible for this insanely popular franchise, Bungie took matters into their hands to calm down the folks and shared their official Blog Post regarding the ban on Twitter.

As the collective base of banned players took social platforms like Reddit, Twitter and many other online gaming forums claiming that the ban was due to the use of third party programs they all were using while playing Destiny 2. Primarily, they even made it up a theory for the ban spree because apparently, almost all of them were using some third party applications like Discord or OBS for stream overlays and chat services. Some even claimed that the ban is automatic and is within Destiny 2 after all.

On that point, official statement released in the Blog clearly says:

“ONLY BUNGIE CAN BAN A PLAYER AFTER A MANUAL INVESTIGATION”
To clear out the confusion and rumor regarding the claim and put it to a rest, developers of Bungie also mentioned that, this ban issue was solely related to people who were using tools that might threaten the shared environment for the game and nothing else. Also, the game cannot ban anyone, only Bungie can and they do it after they run a manual investigation.

They also updated their online statement with the fact that, Bungie is not going to ban people for using Discord, Xsplit, OBS, RTSS, etc. while playing Destiny 2. The developer team also addresses that they noticed the group of players that are unintentionally caught in this error will soon be unbanned.

Well, this popular franchise always finds itself on the center of social drama and given their previous history on that, it would've been quite surprising if they weren't any after this week’s PC launch of Destiny 2. However, you can be rest assured that all they are doing is to provide you a fair environment to share with countless other fans of the series, completely free of hackers and other internet scum.

Destiny 2 Ending Explained

As soon as Destiny 2 Was Officially Announced by Bungie, it created all sorts of hype to the world of gaming and that intensified with Destiny 2 Teaser Trailer and Destiny 2 Reveal Trailer respectively. When the game finally released, Destiny 2 is Proven Better Than Destiny. To Bungie's credit, they have brought a significant change of the overall experience. Some of those changes are good, others are not too much.

Destiny 2 Ending Explained

WARNING: THE FOLLOWING CONTAINS POTENTIAL SPOILERS FOR DESTINY 2.

The best thing by far about this sequel is the way of their storytelling system. Though Destiny had a lot to tell the players, it did but in a way that failed to cheer everyone up. You can go ahead and only find the interesting backstory of the game Destiny by only finding and unlocking Grimoire cards during the game. This is how, Bungie managed to make it boring and leave the players uninterested about what the plot stands for.

Destiny Grimoire Cards

In Destiny 2, you don't have to chase after Grimoire cards anymore. That was meaningless anyway. Instead, you will learn more of the game, its story and every other thing that should be your concern as you play and progress throughout the game. You might as well forget the ending within or after a few hours but it will reveal a few things that you won't see coming. Now that makes sense. Slightly.

Playing Destiny 2‘s story campaign, the Guardian players are playing with will come face to face with the notorious leader of the Red Legion; Dominus Ghaul during the final mission. Ghaul is here to steal the Light of the Traveler as he believes that he and his legion are the ones who truly deserve it. He kept the Speaker as his prisoner and by the time you will reach the end, his mentor the Consul would have the Speaker executed. After the player defeats him, Ghaul will be resurrected with an otherworldly Light.

The Traveler Awakens

This time, the villain is near-invincible and seemingly winning but then something unusual happens. The Traveler wakes up from his long slumber which lasted from the events of Destiny to Destiny 2. For long time, The Traveler stayed dormant on his tower and sent the Ghosts to help the Guardians with the Light so that they can protect Earth. Traveler begins glowing when Ghaul became a threat, causing the Red Legion to fall and the villain getting destroyed by a surge of light.

For the first time in a long period, this is the first time The Traveler made a move and that undoubtedly makes it one of the most memorable memories of Destiny 2. There is one more significant reveal that is kept hidden until the final boss fight, which is regarding the Speaker.

All these time he was not vouching for the Traveler but pushing hidden agendas of his own while leading everyone else to believe otherwise. This changes the perspective a lot of things about the Traveler but until Bungie decides to drop the next expansion pack, we cannot say anything for certain.

destiny 2 pyramid ship
New Threat For Destiny

Upon destroying Dominus Ghaul, the Light of The Traveler doesn't stop there. Instead, it starts wandering and then spread across the galaxy, crossing Saturn’s ring and then beyond that as well. After spreading across the vast solar system of the universe, if finally reaches a collective of a few pyramid-shaped ships. As soon as the Light enters these dormant vessels, they come alive and set their course to Earth.

This scene may have just teased what we can expect from the Destiny series in the upcoming future. Never before these ships have appeared in any of the Destiny game but it's not like Bungie has talked about them for the first time. Back in 2013, these ships actually showed up in the concept art for the first installment of the series. Although the developers have unveiled many secrets in-game but still, there are more to reveal in future.

Writer Joseph Staten and art director Chris Barrett of the game Destiny have presented the concept art on 2013 on a presentation at Game Developer’s Conference and that was before Destiny was released one year after on 2014. The ships were in the arts and Barrett eventually went on calling them “giant onyx pyramid ships” but then stopped reminding us that he is not allowed to spill any more beans.

bungie destiny enemy races
Destiny Enemy Races

Those concept arts from Bungie presented five of game’s enemy alien races and four of them are already revealed as Fallen, Hive, Vex and Cabal. However, the fifth race with few pyramid-shaped ships and a cloudy black force was yet not introduced properly. Veteran players are already speculating that this mysterious fifth race may be the Darkness, a threat unlike any other.

As it is considered the arch-nemesis of the Traveler, anyone with a connection to the Light is a target of it. Even though, the guesses are seeming pretty legit, this also might be something else but whoever it is, it has sensed the Light and now it is headed towards Earth. Possibly to create havoc and usher destruction.

the speaker destiny 2
Fall of The Speaker

Improving every aspects of their project, Bungie truly outdid themselves in terms of Destiny 2 and that means, we are about to get a much more interesting saga up next. We know that the Speaker is dead but some of the most recent leaks suggest that one of his former apprentice Osiris is going to feature in the first expansion pack of the game. Sounds like a coincidence? I think not. Osiris has a very different perspective of looking at things than his deceased master and that will probably change a lot of stuffs.

The Guardians were brought back with new life and gifts to protect humanity and halt the Darkness. With the introduction of Osiris and the death of the Speaker, everything if forming a pattern, which is, the game is going somewhere. In future, perhaps many of the Guardians will take an alternate route of Destiny and as a new enemy is already on its way, the Traveler will lead the Guardians with the Light.

Destiny 2 is already out worldwide for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One but if you want to play the game on PC, then you will have to patiently wait until October 24, 2017.

If you are still wondering, how it is about to turn out when the game comes out, then just go ahead and check out the Official Competitive Multiplayer Trailer below and we will get back to you afterwards.

In the original Destiny, there was a player versus player battle called Crucible, where people can match up fights next to six or three person team. However, in Destiny 2, Bungie has decided to focus solely on four person team battles to serve better multiplayer game-playing experience and a better map. You can hone your battle skills against dangerous opponents or other players as well.

Three of the game's primary classes; Hunter, Titan and Warlock are highlighted along with their unique abilities on the battlefield; especially their ultimate and special skills. Check out the looks of three different Destiny 2 classes from the competitive multiplayer trailer.

Since they kept it short and on point, it was quite good and a refreshing reminder that we should prepare ourselves from now on for Destiny 2.
